Animal Shelter Spay/Neuter Program

When you adopt a dog, you receive a certificate for free spaying/neutering for that dog at a participating veterinary office. A list of participating veterinarians is available from the shelter.

All dogs adopted from the shelter must be spayed or neutered within six months of adoption.

Animal Shelter Fees - Effective December 1, 2004

Dog Adoption:

$42 - Includes license and a free spay/neuter certificate.

Dog License: $12
Kennel License:  $60
Dog Drop-Off Fee

(Dogs can be brought in Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Saturday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM):

$12 for licensed dogs
$42 for unlicensed dogs

 

Dogs Currently Available for Adoption

This list is updated twice a week, usually on Mondays and Thursdays, and may be only a partial listing of the animals that need a loving home. For more information, please call or visit the Animal Shelter. 

All stray dogs at our shelter are now scanned for micro-chips, but a dog license is always the sure ticket home.

All of the dogs listed below are current on vaccinations.

Kansas is a 2 year old ,ale Chow mix, he is a bit shy, but does warm up. He likes to walk on a leash, and listens to some comands. Kansas was a stray from Sharon Copley road.
Wyoming is a very sweet 4 year old female Shepherd/lab mix. She was a stray from Wadsworth city area. Wyoming likes people, and does well on a leash. She also knows some comands, and loves to be pet.
