| The Clerk of Courts Civil Division files cases between parties, foreclosures, and certificates of judgment. Besides handling all the paperwork for those cases, this office also records the notary public commission for those notaries who are residents of Medina County. Appeals cases to the Ninth District Court of Appeals are also handled in this office. |
| The Clerk of Courts Criminal
Division handles all felony criminal cases. This includes cases that are
bound over from municipal courts and original indictments from the grand jury. Dispositions of criminal cases are reported to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation (BCI&I), the state's central information storage center. Bonds may be posted in the criminal office and payments may be made for court costs, fines, and restitution. |
